Coming into Plus in an administrative role I knew I had a lot to learn about Accpac. However, I can happily say that I have reached a certain comfort level with it. I no longer need to scour my notes for a step-by-step guide, or pester anyone willing to help me whenever I have a (what others would consider menial) task to complete.  As with everything though, right when I think I understand, something else gets thrown into the loop.

In this case, I am talking about third party software. I was expecting another steep learning curve, only to find out how much easier third party software made my day. Accpac is an amazingly efficient product on its own, add in third party software and your options are greatly expanded!

I present you with Plus’ suggested 3^rd Party stocking stuffers:

• Wellspring PrintBoss - PrintBoss increases security by allowing Accpac to print cheques onto blank cheque stock, saves time by formatting information to electronic forms with the click of a button, and conveniently includes payment information as well as relevant bank information on the cheque.

• Orchid Process Scheduler – Process Scheduler allows you to schedule data integrity checks, backups, day-end, as well as many other automated processes at a time and frequency convenient for your business’s schedule. Easily integrated with your Accpac data, it allows for piece of mind as well as current and accurate information.

• Orchid EFT Processing – EFT Processing automatically generates eft files required by the banks to process both payments AND receipts, allowing for seamless transactions between Accpac and your bank or credit union.

• ACOM Document Management – Document Management not only allows for admin specified user to document settings, but also allows for outside documents to be scanned and linked to your Accpac data by field, creating unique overviews

• Sage Fixed Asset Management – While not exactly a 3^rd Party Product, FAS allows you to track depreciation, inventory and management of fixed assets. It allows for total and customizable reporting, and imports the journal entries back to Accpac.

• Barcoding Solution – Barcoding solutions provide a unique opportunity to distribution based businesses, manufacturing businesses,  as well as large offices to free up human resources by allowing individual orders to be explicitly tracked and picked automatically. By working directly with Accpac Order Entry, human error is greatly minimized, and activity easily tracked.

 While I’m not sure Santa knows much about Accpac, Plus can absolutely help you with your 3^rd Party wish list this holiday season.
