If you are considering upgrading your current Sage ERP Accpac system to v6.0, here are some things to consider before doing so.

The information in this article applies specifically to Version 6.0 of Sage ERP Accpac 100, 200, and 500 editions. You should assume that any operating system not listed is incompatible with the current version of Sage ERP Accpac.

What Version of Pervasive  is supported?

Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.0 requires Pervasive PSQL Version 10.3.  Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.0 does not support older versions of Pervasive PSQL (Version 9.7 or earlier)

What version of MSSQL is supported with Sage ERP Accpac v6.0?

Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.0 now supports Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 and Microsoft SQL 2008 R2.  Windows 2003 and 2008 Small Business server are supported, but remain untested. Due to the number of features included in Windows Small Business servers, we recommended that, for optimal performance, you install Sage ERP Accpac on a separate machine.

Can I run Sage ERP Accpac v6.0 in a Virtual environment?

Sage ERP Accpac v6.0 is supported in a VMware ESX Environment.  Sage is aware that Microsoft’s Hyper-V technology has become a very popular alternative virtualization solution in the marketplace.

While SageCRM Version 7.0 SP1 (which comes bundled with Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.0) is already supported on Microsoft Hyper-V, this support does not extend to Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.0. Therefore, customers who choose to implement their Sage solutions on Microsoft Hyper-V will only have SageCRM Version 7.0 SP1 supported on this platform.

Sage ERP Accpac Version 6.1 will include Microsoft Hyper-V support at the time of general release of the product.

Citrix servers should be dedicated for applications, and database engines should be separate from the Citrix server.
