ERP Christmas Wish

Despite my age I still make Christmas wishes every year. This year more than ever I am hoping Santa can deliver. I don’t really require anything too material. I wouldn’t  mind the “Inception” DVD and a pair of “BOSE” noise reduction headphones, but if I don’t get either I wouldn’t be disappointed.

The only gift I really want for Christmas is an ERP Dashboard. This may seem like a strange request but I think you will understand once I explain what it is and its purpose from my perspective.

The best definition of an ERP Dashboard is a  data visualization tool that displays the current status of metrics and key performance indicators KPI’s for an enterprise. This data is then consolidated, sorted, arranged and managed to fit one screen.

This is important to me as each morning when I arrive at the office I can pour myself a cup of coffee and open up the ERP Dashboard and at a glance get a very good idea of the health and well being of the company. My dashboard will probably look different than another organizations dashboard, but ultimately that’s the whole point!
