Recently Bonnie in our Tech Support department has had to perform a number of data repairs. We get a lot of questions from our customers regarding their pricing so I thought I would take this opportunity to explain our pricing policy:

Often times a data repair means your system is down as a result a data repair receives top priority in our tech support department. This priority means that all other tech support issues are back logged until the data repair is completed.

We attempt to return the data within 24 hours from the time received to minimize your downtime. Again forcing other issues that are in the tech support Que to the back of the line.

Repairing data is very technical in nature and requires a great deal of training and expertise. This training is very specific. We do not receive data repairs on a frequent basis so we have trained only a select number of staff to perform data repairs.

Data transfer is a time consuming process that uses up a lot of bandwidth on our network. While data is being transfered our system performance is very poor. We upgrade our system based on demand and the hardware and software required to this commands a significant investment. Sometimes it takes several hours just to obtain your data and send it back.

We require software tools to fix data that we pay one time fees for and some require annual maintenance fees as well.

The bottom line is that it is costly for our orginization to provide data repair services. We provide this service because we hope it is valuable to your organization.

If you do not see the value in a data repair we recommend the following alternatives.

- Restore from a backup

- Re-key data damaged or lost

- Restore data and re-key data lost

- Purchase data insurance to protect against costs of repairing data due to tragic events.
